What Can We Create?

If you have chosen to record your memories, the end result is a beautifully bound heritage book, documenting the highs and lows, happy, sad momentous and important occasions of your life. All this is mirrored by your photos and printed memorabilia.

You may want to produce a book of photos showcasing your wedding, travel, a memorial or an important family occasion. The style and size of the book and the amount of written word to accompany the photos, are your choice.

We work with a number of publishers, depending on the style and quantity of book being produced. We will set up and manage the print process, collect the finished books and deliver them to you.

How Does It Work?

Our aim is to guide you through the process in an easy and fun way.

We will meet with you to tailor a package for you and talk you through the process. We can show you samples of previously published books to help you understand the end result.

The interview is usually in your own home, in a relaxed and quiet environment. You will be talking with one interviewer who will also be recording the session.

Three interviews of one or two hours, will cover a lot of ground, and is usually enough to produce a heritage book of your life. 

These interviews are transcribed, and edited but we still try to keep as close as possible to the way the story is told in your own words. 

Once we have your approval the book design process begins. This is where we format the pages and insert the digital images ready for printing.

Ideally we need to get from you enough photos, slides and printed memorabilia, to compliment the story. We use a high resolution scanner, and photo restoration software to digitize and correct these images to a standard good enough for publication.

Then the book is ready to go to the publisher and you get to choose the type of paper, the cover material, whether or not you want a dust jacket and many other details that will make this book truly your creation.
